The Poetic Machine is a custom software that
emulates a slot machine and randomly generates poems when people interact
and play with it. Trough this work I tried to conceive a post-surrealist
method of literary creation that I called the ‘mechanical automatism’,
which means the capacity that machines have to produce poetry. The Poetic
Machine also offers the possibility of printing the poem created, so users
can become collectors of the work.
